Jonathan
Your body is so gentrified
I sublet me a little room
A pocket in your lap
Boy, are we happy?
Cuz love gets me so terrified
Of all I stand to lose on you
So I’m sharpening my knife
But that’s why you love me
And I love you too Jonathan
You’re sweet
You wanna get down on your knees
Jonathan make a fool of yourself
in front of my friend go ahead
*So you got a passport
So you gotta good job
So you wanna fast forward
Straight to the dull part
Where you’re six months pregnant
Y’all invite me to your wedding
And he gotta good job
Bet he wanna sing along*
I’m the trophy of your whole world
And the villain all along
I was pure
But so wrong
Jesus be
a personal
rooster
Stretch the back
Make a alto from a soprano
I greet my day ass-up
*So you got a passport
So you gotta good job
So you wanna fast forward
Straight to the dull part
Where you’re six months pregnant
Y’all invite me to your wedding
And he gotta good job
Bet he wanna sing along*
It’s all on you
This whole system is built on you
If you lift a finger
If you lift a finger
It’ll all break
This system will all break
If you lift a finger
If you lift a finger

O mar é azul e transparente (The sea is blue and transparent)
Há pássaros que voam felizes pelo céu (There are birds that fly happily across the sky)
Há uma lua que brilha contente (There is a moon that shines gladly)
E um sol que sorri pelas manhãs (And a sun that smiles in the morning)
Mayday
Mayday
Mayday
Planet earth sending mayday
Planet earth sending mayday
Mayday to the universe
Sun and sky and planet earth
Are sending
Mayday
Mon and stars sending
Mayday
Across the universe we are all sending
Mayday
Let us save planet earth
Mayday
Night and day
Mayday
Wind and storm all day
Sending
Mayday
Sending
Mayday
Our planet is tired all day
Sending
Mayday
Mayday

The Source of Joy, from the Soul of Rumi, translated by Coleman Barks
Love is a river, drink from it.
Love is a river, drink from it.
No one knows what makes the soul wake up so happy!
Maybe a down breeze has blown the veil from the face of God.
A thousand moons appear.
Roses open laughing.
Hearts become perfect rubies like those from Badakshtan.
The body turns entirely spirit.
Leaves become branches in the wind.
Why is It now so easy to surrender, even for those already surrendered?
There’s no answer to any of this.
No one knows the source of joy.
A poet breathes into a reed flute, and the tip of every hair makes music.
Shams salis down clods of dirt from the roof,
and we take jobs as doorkeepers for him.
A road might end at a single house, but it’s not love’s road.
Love is a river, drink from it.
Love is a river, drink from it.
Rise.
Move around the center as pilgrims wind the Kaaba
being still is how one cley clod sticks to another in sleep,
while movement wakes us up and unlocks new blessings.
